Katalin Szőke (born August 17, 1935) is a Hungarian swimmer and olympic champion.

She was born in Budapest, and married water polo player Kálmán Markovits.

She has later settled in California, USA. She competed at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, where she received a gold medal in 100 m freestyle, and a gold medal in 4 × 100 m freestyle relay.[1]

World records

She has set four relay world records.

Awards

She was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1985.[2][3]
